The Closet began with a discovery, a massive wardrobe unearthed in the basement of Laxmi Niwas, once filled with forgotten relics and fading flags. In a letter to a friend, Maharaja Narendra Singhji imagined moving it to the old gaushala, transforming it into a bar that was as irreverent as it was indulgent.
By evening, the closet opens, revealing a spirited space set beneath a French tent, where stories and conversations flow as freely as the drinks. Inspired by his travels and flair for hosting, each libation carries flavours gathered from across the world, reimagined in Bikaner.
What unfolds is part history, part whimsy, an intimate bar that invites you into the Maharaja’s world, one drink at a time.
